Immaculate Conception is a music collective centering on the creative expression of women & gender-nonconforming people. I joined the IC board in November 2023, where I began djing, organizing events, developing social strategy and outreach goals, and creating content for the collective including graphics, videos, and photos.

As a cellist, composer, and educator, King shares their journey as a musician, their artistic influences, and the importance of preserving Black culture.King shares their thoughts on the concept of being an “amateur”, the joy of creating, and love being a revolutionary force that drives artistry.
